Bathroom to wetroom
Small family bathroom turned into a wetroom. The bathroom straddled the new and old parts of the property and has no windows as it sits centrally in the house. Once the existing bathroom furniture had been removed it was apparent that significant preparation work was required. Decaying walls had to be remade and the floor rebuilt and levelled, and all the pipework also needed to be hidden below the floor and behind the wall which would create a very clean minimalistic feel in the finished room.

The room was tanked, or 'fully waterproofed' with a sealant before installation of the drainage system before Steve tiled the floor and walls using high quality stone coloured textured floor tiles which give good grip in a wetroom. Large white tiles were used for the walls with a blue/grey mosaic surround, enhancing this with a wide vertical mosaic strip behind the shower. This creates a very striking cross shape and gives the room a wow factor.

The basin was suspended from the wall which helps makes the room feel spacious and airy.
